    GAME CHANGER!!! I have been a bit of a carb monger while pregnant this go-around. For a while it was one of the few things that sat well with me, even though I preach more fats than carbs. So to be intaking more carbs than I normally do is really making me nuts!     BAGELS are not usually synonymous with WEIGHT LOSS and I haven’t had a “real” bagel in YEARS! The gluten is a problem for me (bloating my belly and ruining my skin), but even if it weren’t for that, the average bagel carries about 48 grams of carbohydrates, and that is just for a plain one.  A normal blood sugar is about 4 grams of sugar so I don’t want to eat something 12 times my normal blood sugar!     I hate giving my child a high carb breakfast! It sets her up for being Miss Cranky Pants shortly after the meal.
