It is important when choosing meats to do the best you can to get organic and grass-fed. What that animal ate, what was injected and how it was treated is imperative to your long term health as well when eating animal products.
- 1 lb grass-fed orange NY strip steak from a butcher
- sea salt
- dried chives
- ¼ cup yellow onion slices
- Sprinkle salt on both sides of the steak. Press in chives to both sides. Place in a skillet pan and add options on top and around the raw steak. Place entire pan in the broiler on the top rack. Cook 7 minutes of the first side and about 5-6 on the second side for med-well. Steak will continue to cook a little more after removed from the broiler. Enjoy with you favorite sides or low sugar sauces.
