SUPPLEMENT STUDY

STUDY IS FOR: Men and women in Tampa Bay, FL area for 8-week vision, eye health and brain health (mental acuity - reaction time & memory) study for a targeted oral supplement. 

AGE: 18 - 40 years old

PRODUCT: Nutrient dense supplement for eye health

DURATION: 8 weeks

CRITERIA

Study is looking at the improvement and maintenance of eye health, vision status, reaction time and memory)

Inclusion Criteria:

  1. Male or female

  2. Age 18-40 years

  3. English literate

  4. Willing to sign informed consent form

  5. Willing to forgo Vitamin D3, omega fatty acids, or fish oil supplementation for the duration of the study period. 

 

Exclusion Criteria:

  1. Currently wearing prescription glasses or contacts

  2. Cataracts

  3. Glaucoma  

  4. LASIK

  5. Diagnosed concussion within the last 6 months

  6. Diagnosed dry eye syndrome

  7. Vitamin D3, omega fatty acids, or fish oil supplementation with the last month leading up to the study

TESTING INCLUDES:

2 visits to an Optometrist office located in New Tampa (baseline and week #8). 

MUST attend a particular office so please make sure you would be able to drive TWICE to 19070 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Tampa, FL 33647

  • Retinal Optical Coherence Tomography

      Ganglion Cell Thickness: Ganglion cells are the projection neurons of the vertebrate retina,       conveying information from other retinal neurons to the rest of the brain. It is an early            

      predictor of glaucoma.

  • Retinal Optical Coherence Tomography

  • Full Retinal Thickness (L&R): Determinant of visual acuity, visual loss, and eye disorders and diseases.                          

  • Intraocular Pressure (IOP)

  • Pressure of the Eye: Measures the fluid pressure inside the eye           

  • Snellen Eye Chart

      Visual Acuity: Determines the clarity of your distance vision                        

  • Ishihara Plates

       Color Vision: Determines the normality of or defectiveness of color vision.
